Float is very useful for visibility across my team when colleagues are booking in time with me
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use, it doesn't require training to know how to use it
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that I can't create my own project/client -- that my boss has to create them for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping to visually communicate to my colleagues how much time I actually have available.
Easy to use team scheduling tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to see who is on leave in a single view
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how there's no integrations yet with out software we use e.g. Toggl etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team scheduling on different projects
Easy to use - see plan at a glance
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use - intuitive workspace to get started; I can easily rearrange designers workloads and see where they are over loaded at a glance
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to compress a bit more, or have an overview view; but saying that viewing by projects works well.
I'd like to have a sandbox so I can run scenarios on where to put people without affecting my overall plan
I'd like to have a sandbox so I can run scenarios on where to put people without affecting my overall plan
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use float to plan workloads for our designers - it works really well to get an overview of who is doing what, and allows the team to quickly see expectations
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I looked at a few resource planning apps, this was a good price and really easy to implement
Visually Clean, Needs Efficiencies
What do you like best about the product?
The calendar view is clean and makes it easy to see who is working on what / for how long throughout the week.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding and assigning new projects / tasks isn't intuitive. Also wish there were a more streamlined way to assign a project throughout non-consecutive days within one scheduling form than having to click in and out of individual dates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to assign project time across creative team members' calendars in one view.
Sleek and Easy
What do you like best about the product?
It is intuitive, sleek and easy to use. I am able to log my hours easily and quickly every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would really give feedback about is the interface - particularly toggling between the schedule and log screens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is enabling me to save time in scheduling and recording hours, and also gives an overview both on an individual and team basis.
Float Keeps Your Team Organized
What do you like best about the product?
Float's interface is as user-friendly as it gets, with friendly colors and a "card"-based grid view where it is very clear what tasks you are working on and what tasks the rest of the team is working on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a bit of a learning curve, transitioning from a drastically different scheduling system. There are a lot of options and bells and whistles, but once you get used to Float, it's great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is helping my team schedule multiple projects at a time and which team member is on which project which becomes clumsy and difficult if it's not an easy-to-use interface.
Great for resourcing!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can view all the teams projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it can a more user friendly.. some of the shortcuts aren't helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me see how my teams time is spent across various projects/

Great for project management!
What do you like best about the product?
A great way to stay on top of your own projects while also seeing what other team members are up to and how you might be able to assist or pass off rounds of revisions .
What do you dislike about the product?
The granular controls and administrative functions could be improved in order to provide even more insight into projects, teams, and deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project and deadline management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out before committing.
Easy Planning Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Our organization really likes Float as a picture of future bandwidth. Managers appreciate how they can quickly make adjustments to their direct reports' assignments and we have used Float as part of new hire business cases to get a quick visual of bandwidth constraints. Float is very easy to update on the fly as projects change.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer service via email support can be confusing and take a long time to address the original question. This could be addressed by having a slightly different triage system. Additionally, if you have multiple URLs you can't implement SSO for all of them, which we discovered only at the end of trying to implement SSO.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to resource, plan projects, and have down-and-dirty gut checks on bandwidth more easily with Float. A wonderful feature is tagging individuals, as we are able to add skills, special notes, and more as appropriate, and filter by these tags (as well as levels, departments, etc.).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Float is cost-effective for mid-size organizations, though how you set up the account is really how it will stay in terms of URL. If your organization changes a lot and you foresee wanting to make a lot of changes, Float may not be perfect for you.
useful but a little limited
What do you like best about the product?
useful especially for my ADHD to see clearly what tasks I have for the day- the colour coding also helps
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it confusing changing things in there, if I want to add a new task/ update/ if my manager is away I'm not able to do so or at least I'm unsure of how to
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
you can clearly see what everyone is working on which is really handy and means people don't get too swamped/ pressurised to take on excess work
Recommendations to others considering the product:
really great way of mapping out projects, understanding resource issues
