Easy to use ETL tool
What do you like best about the product?
It was easy for most semi-technical users to learn how to create graphs in Clover for automation.
The team at CloverDX provides great support both in the initial setup phase as well as ongoing.

What do you dislike about the product?
Connecting our fileserver to the server running CloverDX is not as easy as hoped. We usually need to transfer files between the servers rather than have the graph retreive the file direct from the fileserver.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating many of the manual processes done by our operations teams including executing change requests consistently and quality control. This has freed up resources to take on additional work.
Using CloverDX during data migrations has been incredibly helpful and allows us to proceed with system migrations with limited people resources. We were able to quickly write graphs to transform data from one format to another with minimal effort and high accuracy.
Another area that CloverDX has been useful is combining and processing large volumes of data quickly. This has allowed us to do analysis on our data sets that we would not have been able to do without it.

Extremely powerful tool, but feels a tad clunky at times.
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely powerful tool. Easy to learn and to understand, and I've found myself using it for tasks no matter how small/large the data-set is. Especially for database connections and csv writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
A tad clunky; the Eclipse-editor style felt good 7 years ago, but when we're now used to tools like IntelliJ, anything Eclipse-based feels a bit rough.
Last I checked, it lacked Proxy support for some sftp-related components, which meant I was unable to achieve some business critical tasks without implementing it myself.

Schedling tasks
Dumping data to SFTPs
Whenever additional data (whether it's as simple as a csv csv/text file, or comes from many sources which need significant transformation) is required in a database query / report generation

Satisfied experience
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using clover to automate a lot of my processes and the way CloverDX is set up helps me to automate my tasks in such a simple and effective way. The UI is simple, easy to understand. Other than that, it also helps when the functions are able to be connected from one part to the other. I am also able to train other teammates on the usage of cloverDX in case I am absent and the graph needs some update urgently.
What do you dislike about the product?
The coding part is abit tough for anyone who has not been exposed to any codings before, so the part where we have to manually add in the codings is a bit difficult to be explained to the team members
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CloverDX helped me to simplify complex file and export out the important details needed, as well as helped in mapping and de-mapped the items needed for my project. Helps in terms of cutting down production time by mapping and de-mapping the items. Latest project that requires me to work with CloverDX is related to conversion from one type of file to another, specifically ascii. Breaking down the process through subgraph has been immensely productive and time efficient for that project.
Solution Delivery Specialist
What do you like best about the product?
quick to install and set-up, does not bloat PC.. easy to use drag/drop icon-based workflow development and testing, relativley easy to interpret scripting
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial learning curve can be high for begineers not used to heavy ETL and workflow monitoring maintance. Wish it were eaier to troubleshoot when things break
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reading, writing, combining large structed data, calling multiple APIs efficeintly with batch and timed operations. This light automation is saving a lot of time scripting and manual movement of files, allowing us to deliver faster and focues on other business needs.
AI and Usability Improvements Pave the Way for the Future
What do you like best about the product?
The most exciting new thing, by far, is the introduction of AI and machine learning components. This is a game-changer. The fact that CloverDX now allows you to run machine learning models locally for things like data classification and anonymization is brilliant. This keeps sensitive data in-house and addresses a lot of the privacy and governance concerns that we, as data and enterprise professionals, have to deal with constantly.
Other new OpenAIClient component is also really cool. It lets you integrate large language models (LLMs) into your graphs, giving you the power to do things like text summarization, content generation, and smart data cleaning.
I'm also a big fan of the improvements to the Data Manager and Wrangler. The ability to share Data Manager across multiple environments and the enhanced usability in Wrangler, like the Undo/Redo functionality, make a big difference in day-to-day work.

What do you dislike about the product?
While the new features are great, there are always things that can be better. The learning curve for some of the more advanced concepts and the CloverDX Transformation Language (CTL) can still be a bit steep for new users. While the documentation is good, a more interactive, guided learning path directly within the designer could help a lot.
Also, some users, including myself, have noted that the support response time could be a bit faster. While the quality of support is excellent, a shorter turnaround on complex issues would be a significant plus. The overall library of out-of-the-box connectors could still be expanded to cover a wider range of modern APIs and services.

Its flexibility, power to process any data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires a high level of knowledge to implement new capabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data importing, data ingestion from SFTP sites
Evolving ETL Product with limitless options
What do you like best about the product?
We have connected our primary data-heavy transactions to the Clover Graphs to reduce the memory burden on our software, provide async abilities, and reliably complete large data processing tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have been with CloverDX as a product for a while so we have had some struggles migrating our Graphs from the early versions to the latest updates. The speed of updates and improvements is increasing faster than we expect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large scale data processing needs as well as complex data transfer and transformations. This takes a lot of the burden off of our Transactional SQL Server Database.

What do you dislike about the product?
The availability of comprehensive documentation might seem insufficient, especially for troubleshooting and learning purposes. CloverDx developer community is small.
Getting started with CloverDX might be challenging for beginners as the initial setup process is slightly complex.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently CloverDx is used for data Integration and creating reporting and analytics pipelines. To extract data from data warehouse, transform and execute scheduler scripts.
Powerful ETL Tools for data transformation
What do you like best about the product?
Many powerful ducntions developed overtime. The map i.e. Reformat function enables most of the transformations to be done once in one place. It can be done in simple pre-built functions or even more comlicated queries using ETL languanges.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the fuctions are still missing. I would like to have most of the simliar built-in functions as in Excel for the consistency. As an example, there were no PROPER function to caplitalise the first letter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data mapping and transformation are pretty easying using CloverDX. With the ability to extract metadata from SQL/CSV or other source file, source data loading becomes easier.
