User-Friendly Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
UI is very friendly and easy to understand. Features are good and easy to find. Logs are easy to read and find for troubleshooting. For someone who is relatively new in the industry, this firewall is very easy to manage.
What do you dislike about the product?
The primary issue i have is with the user VPN MFA can be a little wonky at times. Not sure if it is a knowledge issue or a bug, but sometimes the MFA does not work and unable to authenticate the Web Interface with the users credentials + MFA. Require to reregister certificates then it works. Adding additional codes to MFA does not last very long, hope that in the future there is a way to permanently set codes that dont expire for use cases where client is overseas and unable to authenticate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote access to network resources allows our staff to work from anywhere. IPSec helps with our remote site backups. Policies help to restrict access and tighten security for ease of management.

I like how Sophos firewall offer strong, real-time protection with an easy-to-use interface. It's integration with other sophos products provide seamless, synchronised security across the network.

Sophos Firewall protects against advanced threats with deep packet inspection and real-time threat intelligence. It also simplifies security management through centralized control and synchronized endpoint integration.
Peace of mind
What do you like best about the product?
We have used Sophos products for almost a decade and (knock on wood) have been problem-free. Consistent, quality products keep us coming back.
What do you dislike about the product?
On two separate occasions, our firewall was corrupted during an update, but even then, the response was quick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping our network and users safe without requiring any awareness on the users' part.

The firewall offers strong performance but has a steep learning curve for new users. Its interface and advanced features can be challenging, making initial setup and management less intuitive for those unfamiliar with Sophos products.

It enhances enterprise security by providing robust protection against threats, efficient traffic inspection (including SSl/TLS), and low latency performance. It simplifies management through sophos central and integrates seamlessly with other sophos products, offering a unified approach to network security and reducing administrative complexity.

What do you like best about the product?
REDs make deploying network connection from branch to head office very simple.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing coming to mind. When I use software/hardware, I learn how it needs to be configured for my requirements. Sometimes that is intuitive, and other times it is clunky. Overall this product has been intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The firewall is:
1. Allowing and disallowing internet traffic (external and internal governance)
2. Defining the office network rules and permissions across network segments and vlans
3. Email delivery and filtering
4. Branch connections to the head office network

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy implementation, easy to configure rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any drawbacks in the current firewall.

Keeping our network safe!!
Easy to implement and Great support
What do you like best about the product?
Its ability to be an all-in-one network solution, as well as the ease with which we were able to implement that solution. A single console to log into that handles all facets of our network. Support has been great the few times we have had issues that needed additional troubleshooting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would nit pick on would be the log viewer being a little cumbersome to learn at first. Once I was comfortable with it however it has been a breeze.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplifying our network infrastructure and giving easy remote access. Saves time and headaches.

the clear configuration interface - everything is where you expect it to be

The user support is fortunately faster than finding detailed information in the online help - but even there, the extensive user forum helps immensely.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos acted like a real partner, during the whole process - from the first contact, during the implementation up to the after sales support.
What do you dislike about the product?
No SSL-Client for macOS (in development)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Permiter protection, remote access, internal webservices. All of these services are essential to provide the best user experience.
