Code maintenance and accessibility
What do you like best about the product?
This is a very good tool to maintenance huge or any code repository

Not many cons are there, only initial or fresher guys faces some command issues

- Gitlab is easy to use but its UI and large menus may confuse sometimes also slow on the web user interface

Currently using GitLab in one of our software development which makes team collaboration so easy and effective

Best source control manager tool with cool ui
What do you like best about the product?
I work with many source control managers, but I loved UI of GitLab attractive and simple
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the downtime of GitLab. It's throw 503 error many times. if GitLab control its downtime then it is a best tool ever
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab solves my auto-deployment process. It runs my unit test cases and deploys code to AWS. I also loved this pipeline feature
Great way to keep track of development
What do you like best about the product?
I use this as a reporter; I look for bugs and can create an issue across any of our projects, link it to a developer and tag it with urgencies and what the improvement/issue is related to. From there, it is an easy way to keep track of communicating on a single issues thread.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard to navigate around unless you're familiar. I'm using GitLab on the odd occasion, so moving an issue from one project to another could take a minute to figure out where the option is within the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping us track issues more efficiently and easily assign them to different team members.
An efficient version control system for group work
What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates and version control flow he created for group work. We use it as a team with Github.
What do you dislike about the product?
It offers limited opportunities for free. Sorry for not voluntarily supporting the ecosystem as much as Github. I'm using a macbook pro 2018, it often crashes me during deploy.

Gitlab meets all my software development, deployment and version control needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Most widely used tool for version control that makes life easier by keeping track of all the changes in files. With gitlab it's easy to keep track of various versions of file.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to understand git concepts some times. Commands are bit confusing.

Using gitlab for versions control. Managing different versions of files with gitlab.using gitlab to review changes done by others.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about GitLab is that we can use it for doing team work by making different branches and then merge it

There is nothing to be disliked in GitLab but one thing is that one person can copy the code from make it own

The problems solved by GitLab is saving the code on the cloud with various versions

Highly recommend others to use GitLab as version controlling system
Great alternative to GitHub with own features
What do you like best about the product?
For me, the main advantage of Gitlab is that it has a more user-friendly interface than GitHub. I can manage all the necessary properties of the repository and CI / CD settings without thinking where to find them and what they mean. The usability is great here.

Setting up access rights for different developers quickly and efficiently is just as problematic here as in GitHub.
