Rubrik Makes Backup and Recovery Fast, Simple, and Confidence-Inspiring
What do you like best about the product?
As a backup admin, Rubrik has genuinely simplified my day-to-day workload. The UI is clean and intuitive, and onboarding new team members now takes a fraction of the time it used to. Backup and recovery speeds are consistently fast, and the ransomware protection features like immutable snapshots and threat monitoring give me real confidence that we’re covered. Cloud integration has also been seamless across our hybrid environment, which makes managing everything feel much more straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing model can feel opaque, and costs can scale up quickly as your data grows. The initial setup and policy configuration come with a learning curve, particularly around SLA domains. Reporting could also be more customizable out of the box; we’ve had to rely on the API for some of the dashboards we need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik has replaced our fragmented legacy backup setup with a single, unified platform. Since making the switch, our recovery times have dropped significantly, which directly lowers the risk of business downtime. The immutable snapshot architecture also gives us a dependable path for ransomware recovery, and cloud tiering has helped cut our long-term storage costs. Overall, it has reduced administrative overhead while strengthening our compliance posture.
Huge Time Savings with Clear Dashboard and Instant Recovery
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about rubrik is just how much time it saves to a team on a daily basis. The SLA based protection is a total game changed when compared to the old school backup jobs. I dont have to worry about whether a job is finished or not because the dashboard is actually clear + the instant recovery has saved us more than once when a dev accidentaly deleted the database. It's pricey but worth it!
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick something, it's definitely the cost. Rubrik is expensive product. It is sometimes hard to justify the price of it, especially because it looks like you're paying for a lot of security features that maybe not needed for everyone. Also, I've noticed that while the UI is mostly great, some of the reporting/analyctis can feel a bit buried.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main thing Rubrik solved for us was just the amount of time we were wasting for our old backup way. We used to spend time on just checking logs and restarting failed jobs. Now it is is way easier. The SLA policy engine is great because you can set how often you want snapshots and where to save them.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Rubrik solves data loss and system failures problems with automation. Rubrik makes the initial setup straightforward and easy to use, which I appreciate. I also use the RBS backup and recovery feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the interface feels slow and sometimes clunky. I also think there should be better reporting and a pricing format that's more favorable for smaller organizations.

I use Rubrik to handle data backup and recovery, mainly solving issues with data loss and system failures. The automation features also effectively address backup policy challenges.

Rubrik has a straightforward interface and is easier to manage than many traditional backup tools. Deployment is quick, and most of the configuration is policy-based, which helps cut down on manual effort. Backup jobs, restores, and monitoring are easy to find and understand in the dashboard. Recovery is also fast, especially for virtual machines, and the platform integrates smoothly with environments such as VMware and Microsoft 365.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing and overall costs can be high compared to other solutions, especially in smaller environments. Some advanced configuration options also feel less flexible because the platform is strongly policy-driven. Reporting and customization could be more detailed as well, without having to rely on external tools or APIs.

Rubrik centralizes backup management and cuts down the operational effort needed to protect infrastructure. Rather than juggling multiple backup tools and custom scripts, everything is managed through a single platform. This makes backups more reliable, streamlines recovery during incidents, and reduces the time spent on ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting. Overall, it leads to faster recoveries and greater confidence that data can be restored when it’s needed.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the clean interface. It makes it very easy to back up. I like all the protections it offers, and it gives me peace of mind that my data is secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is on the high side. I wish they had a cheaper plan. To be fair, you do get a lot of strorage and it is fast and easy to use. But it is a competitive market, so price is an issue.

It provides a reliable solution for data backup. You can set it up and forget it. It is all very easy to set up and use. It saves a lot of time and worry.

What do you like best about the product?
I like Rubrik for its ease of use. It makes managing backups simpler by consolidating everything in one spot rather than needing separate solutions for each environment. The instant recovery options are nice to have for disaster recovery, especially when backing up our Nutanix AHV system.
