Enables us to digitize processes, optimize them, and reduce time and cost involved

  • July 07, 2023
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

We have used it for many projects and many different types of companies. For example, we have used it to solve problems that companies have with backups, as well as issues of integration with legacy systems. We also use it for human resources and suppliers.

How has it helped my organization?

With Automation Anywhere, we can digitize a process, optimize it, and reduce the cost and the time that process takes. It has also reduced failures in processes.

We have used it to increase automation by 100 percent.

What is most valuable?

The development tools are very good. It's very user-friendly and easy to develop and deploy with Automation Anywhere. Ordinary people, within a few weeks, can develop a bot using the tool. It's very easy for business users, who don't have technical skills, to use.

The learning curve is low. Within two months, non-technical people can be trained to use it.

Administration of the environment of the solution is also a valuable aspect. Scheduling the bots and the Control Room are very good.

Another element that is easy is the integration of RPA bots, APIs, business applications, and documents.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It has good stability. It's a 10 out of 10.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The platform gives you an environment that you can easily scale within your company. The scalability is a nine out of 10.

How are customer service and support?

Their technical support is good, but it could be better.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have not used another RPA solution.

What was our ROI?

ROI is very good. We measure processes that we automate and calculate the reduced cost.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

It's the best RPA tool, but the pricing could be improved.

What other advice do I have?

Whether to use an API integration or an RPA solution depends on the use case. If there is a possibility of using an API integration, it could be better because the integration can be more secure. But if you have a legacy system where API integration is not possible you can use Automation Anywhere. It also depends on the expectations of the customer. Sometimes, the implementation via Automation Anywhere can be faster. If the customer doesn't have a lot of time and you need to deliver the solution, RPA could be the best solution.

And Automation Anywhere doesn't require any maintenance.

Automation Anywhere is one of the best tools on the market. It's a little expensive but if you implement it in your company, you should see return on investment.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Public Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

AA for the automation of file reading process and information extraction

  • July 07, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like all its functions, in addition to the fact that it integrates with Excel and its credential storage, offers good features and is a certified RPA leader. It increases development to automate the processes and ends the high volume of repetitive operations, avoiding errors and breakdowns in the system.
What do you dislike about the product?
The installation is not easy, the database also looks messy, and the interface design should be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used for different things such as process automation with ticket management and email automation; we take advantage of another tool for data extraction, and its essential factor is bots for commercial tasks that are complex; it reduces the human hand, and we save time, which it makes life easier.

AA unique RPA for automation and data management anywhere

  • July 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is a complete RPA software for queue processing and data management. It has been very beneficial; I like the operation commands, how easy it is to learn to use low code and easy to develop processes for simple automation and that I had never imagined being so easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing from now on; everything is beneficial, and I do not have a present problem that is cause for disagreement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This RPA transforms the manual process into automatic ones in a simple way, it reduces tasks, and our team gets more time for other things; besides the schedule, bots perform activities at a particular time, which is excellent.

Performs efficiently and helps reduce workload, but is complex to learn

  • July 06, 2023
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use Automation Anywhere for process automation.

How has it helped my organization?

Automation Anywhere has enabled us to eliminate manual, time-consuming tasks, and increase accuracy within our organization by automating them.

We witnessed the benefits of Automation Anywhere within six months of its deployment.

Automation Anywhere helped reduce the workload of our P2P billings by around 60 percent.

Automation Anywhere helped our organization increase its automation consumption by 25 percent on our billing automation once we resolved all the background issues.

What is most valuable?

Automation Anywhere performs efficiently.

What needs improvement?

Automation Anywhere is difficult to use and could be made more user-friendly. The GUI needs to be improved.

Using Automation Anywhere can be extremely difficult for individuals who lack technical skills.

The learning curve for Automation Anywhere is challenging. We should not need to rely on a vendor to handle the solution. The end-user should be able to use the solution independently.

The automation at scale has room for improvement.

There are many features missing from Automation Anywhere, including cloud collaboration tools provided by Google and Microsoft, that I would like to see integrated into the solution.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Automation Anywhere for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Automation Anywhere is stable. I rate the stability an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Scalability involves both the customer and the vendor, requiring significant effort to increase due to its lack of user-friendliness.

How are customer service and support?

We experience difficulties in getting our issues resolved when dealing with technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I used Microsoft Power Automate, which was not a great application at the time. However, it has now become easier to use, more cost-effective, and more scalable compared to Automation Anywhere. As a result, we are considering switching back to it.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was complex. The vendor was unfamiliar with the process, and there was no guidance from Automation Anywhere regarding the requirements. According to Automation Anywhere, we were supposed to simply follow the onscreen instructions and click "next," which should have taken a maximum of one hour. However, due to an error and misunderstanding, it took us around three days instead.

The deployment started at the control room, then the client, and finally the developer.

One person, who was an Automation Anywhere specialist with infrastructure knowledge, was used for the deployment.

What about the implementation team?

We used a vendor for the implementation.

What was our ROI?

To realize a return on investment, we must utilize Automation Anywhere for several years.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Automation Anywhere is significantly expensive. The cost is at the highest end of the spectrum.

In addition to the licensing cost, let's say, $1,000, we also have to pay the OEM vendor fee, which can be around $150. Furthermore, we are responsible for the payment of managed services, and occasionally there are additional charges for maintenance.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We considered several options, including Blue Prism, before choosing Automation Anywhere.

What other advice do I have?

I give Automation Anywhere a six out of ten.

When I joined my organization, we were using Automation Anywhere. Consequently, I am currently using it. However, all the features are also accessible through Microsoft Power Automate, which offers a free upgrade.

We attempted to train non-technical staff members for one month to utilize Automation Anywhere; however, learning proved to be quite challenging. As a result, we ultimately abandoned the endeavor and opted to hire a technical professional.

Automation Anywhere requires technical personnel who can write code to utilize the solution, making it challenging to integrate RPA bots, APIs, business applications, and documents. We are compelled to hire a vendor to write the code, which is not a practical approach.

I would recommend Microsoft Power Automate over Automation Anywhere because Automation Anywhere is excessively complex and challenging to use.

We have three users across three teams who utilize Automation Anywhere in our organization.

Automation Anywhere is self-maintained unless there is an error.

I advise exploring other options before settling for Automation Anywhere.

Automates complex processes and saves time and labor.

  • July 05, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The bots are a marvel allowing to automate business processes quickly and efficiently; the (AI) performs repetitive and manual tasks in the best possible way; I like being able to choose between public or private cloud, the security they offer is incredible, and the automation is fully integrated, all teams work simultaneously, the integration with Salesforce is the most robust of (AA), they are constantly updating, the support team is amiable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I want to integrate it with another service I use, ServiceNow; the interface is not simple. It needs practice and hours of understanding; when importing data to Excel, there may be errors in the process; I have had some problems with repetitions and some errors in the codes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You save a lot of work by using (AA); in the marketing and advertising sector, you automate repetitive processes in different commerce sectors; you can also automate more complex operations with your (AI). Advertising, marketing, security for customers, everything is automated and fees up time and stress at work.

I would like to see more details on how to use certain functions that are somewhat complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through this RPA, we can handle the data validation, extraction and automation of processes, and it has been the best because we learned RPA and constantly increased productivity.
