Automation at ease
What do you like best about the product?
Best thing is the ease of doing automation. Its user friendly interface allows creating meaningful prototype in just few hours. Also the reusable assets from bot stores enables plug and play
What do you dislike about the product?
I think one area where AA needs to improve is their object cloning in web. I have personally had some trouble in downloading files from SharePoint as the bot sometimes select some random files to download
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We automate some of the reporting with Automation Anywhere. This has taken off workload from the junior level folks. The effort saved from the automation is now being spent in analyzing key issues and providing permanent fix to recurring issues. Our incidents have reduced. Client is happy. Junior folks feel more motivated now
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Automation anywhere have been always at the fore front when it comes to RPA. The RPA tool is also augmented with intelligence capabilities that will learn from the pattern. So if you are moving towards being an intelligent enterprise, AA is the way forward.

A fairly unique RPA in the market with enough extra tools.
What do you like best about the product?
The way in which Automation Anywhere automates is much simpler and easier, it is much less complicated when working with environments such as Excel, when making direct use of computer resources and applications without anything between them.
The handling of Big Data is not at all a problem for Automation Anywhere and the way in which it can be combined with IBM tools or some other software providers is good.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are problems that are not understood, often similar to bugs in the system, especially with the connections between the multiple extensions to additional programs or to the CR.
Their learning plan is not so good, but nevertheless I think it can be complemented quite well, the forum is not so extensive and it is not so easy to understand or learn to handle the extra tools that Automation Anywhere has (IQBot, MetaBot, Bot Insight, etc).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way to automate things front office in Automation Anywhere is really good, as well as the MetaBots for the control of web environments, can solve many problems and repetitive processes in a simple and correct way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not think that this is not like programming, maybe you do not have to memorize as much syntax as in the programming languages, but you need to understand scripts, you need to understand the users, the environments in which you work and the multiple variables of all what could go wrong, implement agile methodologies, implement a good analysis strategy, do testing, dedicate time to the forums and keep learning, to know correctly where the RPA is heading in your country or environment.

very customizable and light weight than others.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would like to see more options for merging & unmerging PDFs and converting to any pages to PDF.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating IQ bots for our clients, but Unable to integrate with IQ Bot.

The entire architecture, programming interface, the set up is improved much after new releases.

Citrix is little challenging. Please come up with something new way of getting this sorted

We have automated 12-14 dashboards and it sends almost 7dashboard each in a day. Saved 60+tickets from raising

I would recommend people should use AA to ensure the industry is heading for automation and AA is the best option as it has reasonable pricing model and better partnership opportunities

Easy to learn, easy to use, easy to implement

This tool make it all easy!! It is really easy to learn, with a few learning you will be in the correct path, it is also very intuitive and that make it easy to use, you don't need to know anything about programming languages.
It has an interactive GUI that guide you through the learning process and help you to remember later what you need to automate a process.

What do you dislike about the product?
The must have of a control room to execute a robot. It will be perfect if you can "test" a robot solely with the client side without the need of a Control Room.
Also need to improve the way that a bot can "save" or "send" messages directly during execution.
Please review the GUI to get a new "look", so it will be easy to use. The Look and feel looks a little "older".

What do you like best about the product?
Following are things I loved about the tool:-
1) Ease of use and UI Developer options - You can get people to learn this tool quickly. Its as easy as writing code in laymen English. Developers can just explore the features and write code, without even having training programs. You won't need best of programmers to automate simple processes.
2) Enterprise RPA Features - Develop your code with industry best practices, quickly with the help of features like- Queues(to be used in multiple bots for single process), Bot Insights, Credentials Manager, Control room to deploy. Best in class Control Room Management features.
3) Even Business operation teams can build small attended bots to help themselves finish their job quickly without a lot of training effort.

1) Its a whole new tool, and as the name suggests (AA 360) it provides a lot many integrations with AI technologies ranging from IBM Watson, Microsoft Luis, AWS AI.
2) There are major changes on development side, its completely cloud based, required no seperate dev license for development (which is good for a quick start)
3) variables now have data type and you can do a lot more with Data tables, Dictionary type variables etc.
4) Also allows small code integration which is again a plus plus.
5) Community edition and support portal is much more helpful for developers now.

1) The company seems confused with the approach of having flow chart based development design or line by line execution
2) Migration from older version is complex due to change in base architecture of tool from .net to java based.
3) I have not noticed many minor releases, instead one major release causes lot of migration hiccups.
4) Company does not seems to have a good futuristic plan for upcoming releases. But I think this newer version can make things easy.

We have automated many processes belonging to very different domains of business processes.
Some like Account and Base maintenance backend processes for Banks to Operations support integrated with Service Now.
As our automation framework matured, the benefits increased exponentially and we were able to deploy bots almost weekly or bi weekly.
We have been able to achieve hyper automation stage in Infrastructure support proccesses.

You want to ride on the journey of automation, just believe in it, work hard towards it and Automation Anywhere gives you the best platform to do that with Industry Best practices.
It takes some time to realize its full potential, once you have a good tested framework ready and the it becomes incredibly easier to automate and realize benefits.
