Fantastic solution for laptop, OneDrive, and Office 365 backups, but...

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to restore OneDrive files works amazingly well. Additionally, laptop/desktop backups couldn't be easier, and we like the ability to plug this into our SSO solution, Okta for ease of sign-in for our users.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web search for email doesn't work as advertised, and what does work is pretty limited. You are not able to search for 'to' or 'from,' fields. Druva has told us that this is something that will be addressed later, but it's really limited our users to the point where we need to look for alternative solutions to accommodate their search needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to be able to restore data to our leadership laptops if they are broken, lost, or stolen. We have the peace of mind that their data will be safe to restore to a new device.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Fully test out the email search feature first before delving into this product. By the time you read this, there may be some feature enhancements included.

Solve the problem of data loss with the instantaneously saved users periodically. It offers many advantages in the management and administration of user data backups

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use with excellent user interface that works for technical and non technical staff. No complicated setup process everything was up and running within an hour of first trying the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only area I have found a problem is the lack of interaction in creating users. You need to provide all details. It would help if it could link to your online resources and provide lists of protected and unprotected data sources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We put the solution in place to help with backup of online resources like oneDrive where file versions where being lost due to slow and inconsistent global data access. This reduced the number of repeat trips and payed for the costs of 3 years of Druva inSync backup within the first month.

it is easy to install in client side.activating the backup is very easy.

upgrading the agent will some times creates issue at client side.

Good product to have a security backup

What do you like best about the product?
Druva is a suitable product. The backups are done very quickly and performance of the computer are not affected. The backup in quiet mode is appreciated by all users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It should be great if an admin account could be used on the users laptops to restore the data. Many time the users are forgotten their password and it's too avoid to wait the main admin of Druva for the reset.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved the risk of data lost.

seemless usage, once setup people just forget about it

nothing is dislikable, only the price could be improve in order to improve the capacity for each user.

What do you like best about the product?
If youre lucky It just works, you literally set up the jobs and leave it. Pretty much how any backup solution should work.

The portal has ADFS support!
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI and Web portal is by far the worse I have ever seen, its so bloated and unorganised its very easy to get lost. This goes for tech support engineers and is amusing when watching them trying to find a menu option during a zoom support call.
Over the years of using this there have been a handful of bugs that have stopped backups. Internal comms does not seem to exist among the druva engineers. After x amount of time an engineer who knows about the bug or solution will magically appear to fix it.
There has been two instances of poor release management which resulted in a version being released which ended up killing the backup system.
The support model is like flipping a coin, when you log a ticket sometimes they will try contact you via any means possible. Other times you are stuck in a horrible scheduling system which means you will not get any engineer slots and just have to wait.

Operations you perform in the system such as delete will often result in Druva engineers automatically logging a call, contacting you asking if you have pressed delete by accident. This is very annoying
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a backup product that could backup cloud VMs and Druva ticks that box. There are no real additional benefits apart from it being in the cloud as we were a big Veeam user.

It solve all the backup issue in organization. this tool is one stop solution for all backup types.
What do you dislike about the product?
No views always perform as per requirement.

As one stop solution it provide ride to restore user back with quick response.

What do you like best about the product?
Druva Insync is a great platform for backup and restoring user data. That is a convenient way to backup with a the agent. For the configuration at admin console, it is not complicated and user friendly. Knowledge base and support portal can solve most of technical problem. And there is no need hardware for the sever and storage. Just do the ad mapping at own AD server, it can work after the connection between AD server
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some hidden setting affecting the client deployment, like "one machine allowed user register". It should be mention with higher priority..

Insync BAckup issue and its resolution

What do you like best about the product?
Hi,
InSync helps you to create a backup of your data as and when necessary. You can customize folders. Administrators don't have visibility for this. You can restore data anytime, anywhere from the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, network changes (e.g. IP change, server change) shall be controlled properly. At times, it consumes more bandwidth and may affect your other calls. You need to pause backup in such instances.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was not able to back up my data and getting server unreachable error. After raising the case, the root cause is identified by the team and this is being resolved. Biggest advantage is I can take backups again.
