Easy to use once you get the hang of it
What do you like best about the product?
The filters are the best parts. I like being able to pick what cities I want to see.
What do you dislike about the product?
The loading time can take a bit long and make wait.

Great tool for data visualization and analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Sigma allows me to perform data analysis without knowing how to write SQL queries. This is extremely freeing and provides independence knowing that I will not have to rely on data analysts. The dashboard tool allows my team to provide clear, concise and up to date data to company executives.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside to using Sigma is the inability to share sheets directly with my peers, and requiring that the sheets be moved to shared folders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sigma allows my team to perform analysis on the data collected on the type of orders that my company has fulfilled
Excellent tool to track and analyze various metrics necessary for the business
What do you like best about the product?
The different opportunities to analyze the data in an easy to read report with the option to deep dive into the data when necessary. It has allowed me to have multiple reports in just one Sigma report, saving time and money.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not the most intuitive layout and sometimes it's a bit difficult to understand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has allowed me the opportunity to get in one report what took multiple reports to get, plus the opportunity to deep dive into the data from the same report has saved me a lot of time.
Make the Snowflake experience that much better
What do you like best about the product?
Integrates great with Snowflake! Drag and drop for non technical users and sql for power users! Ability slice and dice data in seconds rather than minutes as it would take in spreadsheets and other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the visualization customizations are still being built out (i.e. color changes) and also how dashboards are shared isnt always the most simple. Also, not having access to someone else's dashboard to tweak hurts efficiency in crowd sourcing dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to generate reports to satisfy for compliance requirements. We are in the process of building out visibility into how we satisfy compliance in real time through a Sigma dashboard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Snowflake and put Sigma on top of it. You will be able to visualize data in minutes
Easy and comprehensive visualization tool
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy for any technical and non-technical user to make a visualization out of data we have.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a limit to the changes one can do on visualization graph in terms of separating certain rows withina column and so forth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working on user activity in a region. I could essentially get a complete graph of all the data processed and not just a sample of it. Thus pretty accurate in producing results.

What do you like best about the product?
Fast, easy to change filters, access via web

We are experiencing some internal issues with our data, resulting in issues in sigma. That said, this is through no fault of Sigma

Sigma maintains the mental model of a spreadsheet.

Improved dashboarding capabilities and widgets.

I love that it is providing and connecting data that the company had minimal visibility into previously

How complicated it is to combine sheets for someone new to data analysis, and the difference in abilities between Readers & Authors

We are automating some areas in worksheets where we previously manually counted

Easily build on Snowflake data, fast time to results and can share dashboards across the wider organization.

When a query times out or there's another error, it's tough to troubleshoot the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security analytics, governance and compliance. Achieved data-driven projects with cloud engineering team to improve cloud security posture.
Save yourself several hours every week with Sigma
What do you like best about the product?
I think what I like best about Sigma is that I can turn it loose with all of the queries that I normally run manually, and have it build out my pivot tables and charts for me, without me having to remember to do it on time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that there were more options for visualization. I also wish that I could build out multiple visualizations from the same data that all had data exclusions. If you need that, you just need to set up multiple source tables which works fine, but then I have multiples to update when I make a change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Sigma to help speed up my daily / weekly and monthly reporting. I can do things automatically with its pivot table design that I cannot do at all in Excel. It makes slicing my user data insanely easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a ton of data spread among a bunch of different tables, and you would like to look at it all together in one table, that you can easily make your own picot tables and charts without having to manually export data, clean it and then build out your tables, this could be the answer that you are looking for. Sigma saves me about a half hour of my morning to update my user counts. It saves me about an hour on my weekly reporting, and about 4 hours off my monthly reporting.
