Highly Customizable Search with Insightful Analytics

What do you like best about the product?
I use SearchStax for multiple sites as the main search engine, and I appreciate how customizable the search results can be. It's great to have different search pages for various collections of information. I like the analytics dashboard as it allows our marketing team to improve results by analyzing search terms and ensuring the correct pages appear. The ability to define the search fields and boost certain fields, like titles over the main body, is really helpful. The date filters give us control to create custom searches, like setting up a specific search model for course data.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the license we currently have, we're limited to the number of apps, which means the analytic data is shared across all search profiles. It would be extremely useful if each license came with 2 applications by default, so we could have an app for development and one for production. Testing changes has sometimes impacted the production search. Also, there wasn't proper training available when we started using SearchStax, which was a bit of a challenge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use SearchStax as the main search feature on multiple sites, allowing custom search pages. It provides an analytics dashboard to enhance marketing efforts and lets us customize search results with boosted fields and control over search areas using data filters.

The accounts department should expedite refunds for invoice payments caused by their own errors.

Ensure clarity around invoices and specify what the charges were for. Locate missing order forms for purchases.

What do you like best about the product?
The quickness in the support and the proactive actions/information coming from Searchtax about the product I have with them.
It is intuitive if you have a minimum knowledge and the implementation and integration for new sites is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe it could be good to have some business cases examples in a part of the dashboard to guide some non-expert users of the Dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The custom implementation than my company has of SOLR, managed by Searchtax use to have a variety of problems that were solved/supported by Searchtax very fast.

The initial setup can be a bit complex, especially for those unfamiliar with search solutions. However, once everything is configured correctly, it runs smoothly with minimal need for ongoing maintenance. It would also be great if there were more in-depth documentation available to assist with advanced customization.

SearchStax addresses the challenge of providing a reliable and efficient search experience on our website. Prior to using SearchStax, our search results were inconsistent and often slow, leading to user frustration. With SearchStax, we’ve seen a significant improvement in search speed and relevance, which has led to increased user satisfaction and engagement. Additionally, the platform’s analytics tools help us identify and address any search-related issues quickly, ensuring a smooth experience for our users.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of creating new indexes was unparalleled. It really made our implementations easier. And the auto-fallback was great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There weren't really any downsides. I'd use them again in a heartbeat!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We frequently use Solr on premise, which incurs quite a bit of overhead in maintenance.

What do you like best about the product?
Searchstax has good customer support. They are pro customer in most cases and go out of their way to do what is needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing should be looked at, more tier and flexibility to choose for customers. I understand the challenges but steep price increases annually is not good for customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Searchstax is used as search for websites, managed by searchstax team. With less effort spent for managing & hosting search , development team can focus on other features and functionalities. Scalability of instances is good benefit we have seen.

Simple, straighforward Solr integration

What do you like best about the product?
Great experience overall. The SearchStax team was quick to respond, easy to work with, and helped simplify what would normally be a pretty heavy Solr/AEM effort. I contacted them for a Solr integration quote for an AEM RFP, and even though we didn’t end up moving forward due to the bid outcome, I’d still recommend them. Compared to building and maintaining Solr indexing ourselves, SearchStax significantly reduced the effort and risk and made the solution feel turnkey.
What do you dislike about the product?
No significant gaps from my experience. The only enhancement I’d suggest is expanding the non-technical enablement content—clear infographics and executive-level summaries for stakeholders and product owners, especially around integration flow, governance, and ongoing operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost. Solr search is a very niche field and finding qualified resources to help in the implementation would be next to impossible. Keep it up.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple set-up and maintenance. After having implemented Solr Cloud cluster myself, knowing I can relay on SearchStax to set it up and keep it running 24*7, has become a no-brainer, stright forward decision.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have seen a couple of scenarios when performance has been degraded, instead of suggesting improvements in the way Solr is used, an up scale was suggested. I could understand some level of consultancy could require a paid service, but in our case, simple basic changes, already documented, were enough to avoid the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we need Solr for Sitecore, SearchStax takes care of 1/3 or the architecure/hosting, meaning 1/3 of the problems
