Good solr sotuion for our Sitecore stack with excellent support
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setup (completely out of our hands - which is a relieve) and seamless integration with our sitecore platform has been a time saver for us. Pricing is fair. Account management team is flexible and responsive and works with us to get the solution we require/need.
What do you dislike about the product?
While its not a major issue, i would appriciate service management calls to discuss (rare) outages or potentials service improvements. This would help ensure we're always align and get proactive support when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily managing our solr infrastructure . Solr is a core component for search functionality within our stack, but making sure solr clusters and always running smoothly is complex. SearchStax takes care of our solr infrastructure, which saves us a lot of time and worries maintaining it. We also have limited in-house knowledge.
Secondairy, SearchStax runs very stable and performes really well.
By working with SearchStax we save time and can thus focus on core sitecore development.

Searchstax helps us to:

What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax SOLR SAAS offering saves our company costs by offloading maintenance and expertise to their cloud service.
What do you dislike about the product?
Developer SDK could be improved to better interact with the SOLR instance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining your own SOLR server is costly and requires a lot of resources and expertise. Not only do you need expertise in SOLR but also server management and security. These are handled by SearchStax enables us to focus our resources to more business value adding projects.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only area with room for improvement may be the insights, though it’s possible we’re not yet leveraging them to their full potential. Having more easily digestible search data would empower our team with the flexibility and visibility needed to continuously optimize and enhance search performance—without requiring significant developer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since implementing SearchStax on Banner Health’s main website, we’ve seen a significant enhancement in our site search functionality. One of the most impactful improvements has been how much easier it is for our patients to quickly and accurately find the care, providers, and health information they need. This upgrade has helped streamline the digital experience and better connect users with the resources they’re looking for.
SearchStax is the best hosted Solr option for Drupal & Acquia
What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax has been a key partner in implementing search on our Acquia site. The easy of use allowed us to quickly swap out our old Solr provider for their implementation. This allowed us to easily replace what we had to start without having to re-engineer what we had for the experience. We were then able to take our time and by using their starter kits we were able to engineer a new decoupled search experience that was light years ahead of what we had before and we were able to see dramatic improvements. Our click-thru-rate increased over 30% and the number of folks that were using the search almost doubled, increasing our overall time on page. The team is easy to work with, the support is great, it's been a great partnership.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found any yet, the typical spots where companies would have issues don't really show here. Support is great, resources are great, no issues.

Easy to use site search solution
What do you like best about the product?
Searchstax is really easy to use, the interface makes it simple for non-technical users to not only configure search parameters but also see how search is performing to find areas of improvement.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I have lots of customizations to my SOLR configuration, it may not map 1:1.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basic and advanced site search. Before Searchstax, I had no visibility into site searches nor could my marketing team members manage the search, it was always an IT task.

Their team feels like a true partner: responsive, collaborative, and invested in outcomes. Solid docs and clear APIs make our job easier, and we can move faster without sacrificing quality. They’ve helped us deliver complex search experiences that align with tight timelines and evolving client needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s a bit of a learning curve for teams less familiar with Solr or advanced search, but nothing that can’t be overcome with their support and resources. Over time, the ramp-up has improved and is trending in the right direction.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy not needing to directly manage a solr cluster. They can be a bit tedious to setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I like the program. One thing I do find a little difficult is price quoting. It always seems to take longer than I think it will.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solr cluster setup mostly. We spin them up often and not managing the servers is a great benefit.
