Fantastic Managed Services with Fast and Professional Support
What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax has been fantastic. Their support team is incredibly fast, professional and easy to work with. Their managed services offering frees up our team to focus on bigger priorities. Implementation is very straight foward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not encountered any downsides so far. The platform and support have both been excellent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax takes the burden of managing search infrastructure off our team. By handling monitoring, scaling, and maintenance, they free up internal resources so we can focus on higher‑value work
SearchStax Managed Search: Full Solr Access Without the Overhead
What do you like best about the product?
What I find most useful about SearchStax Managed Search is that it removes a lot of the extra overhead from our plate while still giving us full access to Solr. They handle spinning up and configuring the resources, setting up Solr Cloud, and backing up the data, so all we really need to focus on is security and credentials. Thanks to SearchStax, we no longer have to maintain our own Solr services. On top of that, integrating our web apps with SearchStax Managed Solr has been straightforward and easy. We’ve also found their Customer Service to be quite responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The backup process does consume disk space, and that counts toward the resources included in the plan. It would be great if backups were excluded from the disk space allocated as part of the plan, or at least handled separately.
Overall, the SearchStax Site Search product works well, but it still feels like it has some maturing to do.
Overall, the SearchStax Site Search product works well, but it still feels like it has some maturing to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax solved a major problem for us when we needed to migrate away from our previous cloud search provider. It let us avoid spinning up and managing our own Solr instances, which made the transition much smoother.
Intuitive Interface and Perfect Cloud Index Uptime
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is intuitive and the cloud uptime of our indexes has been perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
No dislikes so far. We haven’t encountered issues at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By keeping our sitecore indexes in the cloud and very manageable, we can be sure our indexes are always up and reliably accessed as well as easily maintained in the back end.
Easy to Use and Reliable with Minimal Downtime
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, generally no down time, easy to interact with interface
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit high, and seems like we are limited in how we can scale down our deployments even though we don't generally approach the resource limits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Search index on our flagship public website
Managed Solr product eliminated biggest support issue for one of our clients
What do you like best about the product?
Ability to rely on SearchStax's managed Solr offering, rather than managing Solr on our own.
What do you dislike about the product?
Design and branding seems clunky compared to competitors like Algolia.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage a web application for one of our clients that has grown significantly in the amount of content hosted and traffic received. As this growth continued, their top support issue became "Solr is down". We initially ran our own Solr instance and managed it on the application server, but began looking for a partner who had expertise in this area who could handle the Solr challeng going forward.
Robust Tool with a Steep Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can integrate SearchStax on your website once and then do the real fine tuning through the Dashboard. Karan was able to hop on quickly and help us resolve an issue that we had on launch day. It was nice to have a simulation of our search results built into the dashboard as well for troubleshooting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The code library and documentation is hard to follow, especially if you're on a quick timeline. I'd love to see more accessibility options built into the code and examples along with more clarity on what each component can do and how you can mix and match. Short form videos might be helpful or more hands on dev support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We decided on SearchStax because of it's ability to consume/crawl a ton of websites. We also purchased it over others because of positive accessibility audit results. The built in filters are a huge time saver.
Effortless Search Management with Reliable Scalability, Minor Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
I like how SearchStax makes search management simple and efficient, with great scalability and reliability
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced configurations can be a bit complex at first, but the documentation helps once you get familiar with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the challenge of maintaining a high-performing search experience for our users, allowing us to focus more on content and less on technical upkeep.
Effortless Search Management with Excellent Support, But Pricing and Usability Could Improve
What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax makes search management effortless. The platform is easy to use, integrates quickly, and their support team is outstanding. It’s a game changer for marketing and development teams alike.
What do you dislike about the product?
While SearchStax offers great support and features, the pricing can be steep for smaller teams. Some users find the dashboard unintuitive and the configuration process a bit complex, especially for non-technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax solves the challenge of delivering fast, relevant, and customizable search experiences without needing deep technical expertise. It empowers marketing teams to optimize search independently, improves user engagement through smarter results, and saves time by simplifying Solr management. This has helped us enhance customer satisfaction and streamline internal workflows.
Absolutely Love This Software!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that when there's a ticket created by other teams in my company, it's very easy to loop in people from other teams and they can just reply to the mail notification if they don't have the access to SS tickets and it will still be captured by the system
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps the UI can be improved and make the interface more lively rather than mostly white
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SearchStax has been instrumental in addressing several recurring challenges in our incident and escalation workflows, particularly around indexing reliability, performance bottlenecks, and proactive monitoring.
Excellent Incident Tracking and Support for Escalation Workflows
What do you like best about the product?
SearchStax provides strong support for incident tracking and post-incident review, which is valuable for escalation workflows that related to my role.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would expect fewer recurring issues over time, but this might be dependent on the tiering, which can result in slower prioritization or resolution for certain incidents
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As part of the Incident & Escalation Management team, I don’t use SearchStax directly for product innovation. However, it plays a critical role as a third-party infrastructure service—used by platforms like XM Cloud—so when issues arise, SearchStax’s integration and responsiveness directly impact how we manage escalations, track incidents, and conduct post-incident reviews
