Implemented Acumatica in my last two different companies with very different requirements
What do you like best about the product?
The intuitive nature of the product means that 90% of the time if you think a process is going to work in a particular way, it does, which makes getting up to speed much easier. Also the number of clicks to perform entries and analysis is less than what I have seen in competing products.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most ERP systems the out of the box financial reports are hard to configure, but the Excel integration we sourced has eliminated this as an issue for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved product costing and inventory control has been a major benefit, as well as significantly improved transaction flow for AP and AR.

What do you like best about the product?
Search functionality, Screen layout is well though off. Accounting functionality by itself has very few issues. Timely updates keeps up with changing accounting rules. Check printing and banking automation feature has been good.
Works well to meet our business needs (We use accounting module only). We used a different accounting software and accounting department did evaluation of 5 products, selected 3 of them for demo and finally chose Acumatica. It is business user driven choice and they are happy with it.

What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of implementation as third party consulting firms charge quite a bit to provide any Acumatica related services.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reconciliation of business transactions with Paypal is easier. Reports are really nice as well

This is a user friendly system. Makes it easy to learn

Lack of automation however we did not roll out the entire ERP.

MaxQ side can be frustrating with contract renewals. However the reporting seems to be helpful.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Proper internal training is key. Acumatica can do alot but without proper training, only the basics will be utilized.

What do you like best about the product?
Built from the ground up for cloud. Powerful but easy to use with a fairly simple interface and clean design. Because it's built for the cloud the features are extensible through their entire market place of partners that add amazing functionality. It's amazingly fast too. You would think that it's a native application the way it generates reports and completes robust tasks.
The feature set is constantly growing because of the yearly release cycle so new features are always on the horizon.

What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish things like creating reports, big imports and creating widgets and dashboards were more user accessible and that we didn't need to rely on our implementation partner so much. While I like the fact that new features are always being added the 2 releases per year always makes you feel like you're behind or missing out on the cutting edge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User accessibility. We have a remote work force. No longer have to work with a VPN because the it's based in the cloud.
Slightly longer implementation than I would have liked. Though switching ERPs is a pretty significant project and this timeline is really based on your partner.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is easy to login and that it pulls all of your receipts from that time cycles.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have a bit of a hard time navigating but that may be due to the fact that I only use it once a month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am submitting and having receipts approved. It is a great way for me to submit all expenses to my boss.

What do you like best about the product?
Acumatica has potential to be good and give good information but it isn't quite there yet.
I like the idea of accurate job costing in the Constrution Edition but have not yet benefitted. All available reports on Jobs only give costing for the life of the job.

What do you dislike about the product?
Payroll module has multiple problems. Reports are minimal, can only be viewed by paycheck and are difficult, if not impossible, to manipulate in Excel. There are no Inquiries which would be much easier to manipulate in Excel. There is no functionality to process a final check - to do so requires the user to contact customer support and explain to the customer support person (because they typically don't know payroll) what needs to be done. Interface with Aatrix does not work for filing government reporting.
If you make an error they are difficult to reverse. When processing AP things need to be released 3 different times.
Writing reports and inquiries is difficult for a user. Even software engineers have trouble. Therefore getting the information you need OUT of Acumatica is extremely tough.

We are new to Acumatica and so far have not solved any problems. In fact, our jobs are much harder using Acumatica.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use - once you figure out the basic layout and structure of the system, each module is set up the same way. This makes it easy to navigate and figure it out yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many ways to do simple things. I kind of wish there was just 1 way to complete a task, like creating an invoice or returning a stock item. I like that different people can use the way that works best for them but it's difficult to train people when there are so many ways to do things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to run several different kinds of reports very quickly, and we are able to modify the reports (with the help of tech support) so we are pulling exactly what we need.

Easy to configure , Enable the tenants faster.

Reports can be more better and controls can be more configurable as setups.

For invoicing and Accounting needs to be solved for the customer

I like best about Acumatica is that it is cloud based.

I dislike everything about Acumatica. It is not user friendly or intuitive. I majored in accounting not coding. Your Help feature is like learning another language.

No benefits have been realized. Problems are worst. I have to do everything manually. Even more than before.

Go somewhere else.
