Great Improvements in Acumatica 2020R2
What do you like best about the product?
Really impressed with all of the new features. Acumatica is truly finding ways to improve the system to help people work smarter and not harder. Using AI to automatically import bills from PDF attachments and automatically importing bank and credit card transactions is a huge time saver! Thank you Acumatica!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't say I dislike anything I saw. Everything looks great! Can't wait to upgrade!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking to automate business processes and streamline business operations and eliminate manual labor whenever possible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Acumatica is a great system. I implemented NetSuite for over 10 years and Acumatica continues to amaze me. And such a great team and company to work with!
2020R2 Demo Review
What do you like best about the product?
Modules are integrated and data flows between them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Workflows don't always fit a service organization. Seems to be focused more on manufacturing, sales, distribution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation of some manual tasks.

Carefully review the reporting capabilities and that they meet all your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of creating Generic Inquiries.
Customization projects are easy also.

The report writing program is not very intuitive or user friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica runs most of the operations at the company with the help of Descarte Systems with Ozlink for handheld scanner and shipping interface in the warehouse. We are on 2019 R1 and have to look into upgrading to a more recent release.

Make sure you understand the licensing options.

What do you like best about the product?
Having almost all of our employees and data in one system. This allows a single source of truth for a lot of things.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had some struggles with some of the marketing aspects. We are also using Mailchimp for campaigns and getting the campaign lists set up in Acumatica to export to Mailchimp has posed some struggles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One source of data and one system for all departments. Financial reporting - more accurate, proper deferred revenue posting, combined entity reporting.

Test it for your specific business needs. It can likely do what you need, but it's always important to know how.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration between systems we already use such as Outlook is great. With each update we seem to get another great feature we can utilize.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do with there was a copy from excel to paste function (ctrl c/ctrl v). Especially for journal entries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reconciling credit cards was terrible in our old system. T&E has simplified this process tremendously. And we don't hear that people have lost their receipts as much because they can utilize the app.
Great Platform - Quickly Maturing
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use - it's straightforward to teach, customize, and incrementally implement new solutions/workflows. The ability to quickly make iterative changes and corrections to our processes without any downtime has been a considerable asset.
What do you dislike about the product?
Love-hate relationship at the speed of Acumatica's release cycle. Hard to keep up with the pace of new features and platform improvements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Optimizing our business processes with improved workflows, automation of tasks, and improved access to information and data insights has led to higher throughput.
Incredibly user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Having used several ERP's for manufacturing in the past - I can honestly say that Acumatica is the most intuitive and user friendly I have experienced.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we are new users, I have not found much to dislike!

Easiest ERP to Implement and Maintain
What do you like best about the product?
As an implementer, the ease of getting historical information into the system is a gift to both the implementers and the new users. The Import Scenarios are easy enough for the end users to complete.
Once the data is in, the workflows are logical and provide great visibility to business data.

What do you dislike about the product?
Hmmm... a much harder question. Sometimes my logic and the system logic don't mesh. The only example I can think of is that it took me a few transactions to realize that the Purchase Receipt was not the genesis of the GL transaction. But it just shows how strong the back-end of the system is. The Inventory Receipt transaction is automatically created from the Purchase Receipt (depending on item setup). The Inventory Receipt creates the GL effect. (Logical once you think about it.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Again, as an implementer, the problems solved are varied. One of the solved problems most often mentioned is the increased productivity by using one integrated system vs. many systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know your business processes before you begin implementing. Have a dedicated implementation team of at least two people. Make sure the executives of your company are in sync with the implementation and will provide quick decisions. Allow time for project planning and communicate the changes with the entire company.

I wish branch descriptions were in every screen when selecting a branch.

Acumatica Knocking It Out of the Park with 2020R2
What do you like best about the product?
We can't rave enough about all the work that has gone into 2020R2. The automation of AP bills via AI recognition and the enhancement to the cross-company billing were my two favorite items today.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a Resale Partner all the new functions mean so many customers are going want to upgrade very soon to this edition!!! We are going to need more staff to meet the need!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acumatica has solved our customers inventory issues, addressed re-billing Maintenance, IT, and staffing support for clients via Cases and greatly enhanced productivity for all of our customers.

Find the right reseller that knows your industry and is transparent in their pricing and work scope. Then buy Acumatica.
