Vuln mgmt in a nutshell
What do you like best about the product?
High level vuln mgmt for audits uses simple metric to check for vulns on servers
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Great tool to check servers for vulnerabilities
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Checking major vulnerabilities, lately spectre and intel vulns on servers

What do you like best about the product?
I like the reporting and vulnerability filtering specialitiy according to the worldwide products. For example You can filter the vulnerabilities by type and by exploitability ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not dislike any properties of this product. But if i have to need to say something i dislike. I could say price increasing of this product is very high.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can easily detect any vulnerabilities with huge database support for this vulnerabilities. Penetration testing related work. Network penetration testing with nessus. Compliance check.

It handles all of our artifacts with ease, it's integrations with other products is great as well.

I don't anything concrete that I dislike

We use it to scan our network activity and find vulnerabilities, attempts of attack, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Leading the industry, Tenable Networks and their Nessus vulnerability scanning tool uncover countless issues missed by other products. Steup up to the enterprise product and you'll get assistance with patch management, integration with management and reporting tools and the ability to generate workloads, tickets and other notifications thru APIs. The Tenable eco-system WILL make it possible to truly protect your network.

anything but the basic professional scanner is costly but can be worth it if you value your enterprise

Nessus Professional provides immediate identification of vulnerabilities, missing patches, weak programs that have outdated capabilities to defend against exploits.

The connecting the software to exchange for alert notification.
What do you dislike about the product?
The launch screen could be quick navigation one. Usage statistics divided from external and internal users. Increase usage reports from low use to high use of site from external hits, and actions taken, plus if actions were suspicious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On prem security for web sites that face the public. Alerts for users trying to breach firewalls, or code injection. External usage of our web sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product is maturing and newer versions seem to satisfy customer requests for improvement and usability.

Adding subnets and VLANs
- It will be better if we can change how we add VLANs or IP Ranges. If you have a lot IP ranges, you have to check it one by one if we need to exclude IP or hostname

Available pre configured and customizable VM, Amazon EC2, etc

Not available for low end individuals. Configuration from scratch is a challange

Nessus has a very complete free platform, the paid version is great but you can start with free for vulnerabilities detection
What do you dislike about the product?
I think Nessus must allow trial advanced scans, and not ask for credentials in some scans
