"IICS Connector automates the extraction of metadata and end-to-end data lineage from Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and delivers it directly into Atlan's data governance platform.
Built on the Atlan Application SDK and orchestrated via Temporal workflows, this connector authenticates to the IICS REST API, extracts all mapping assets, transformations, connections, and task flows, and transforms them into Atlan-compatible asset entities - including column-level lineage.
Key capabilities:
- Supports all IICS asset types: Mappings, Mapping Tasks, Dynamic Mapping Tasks, Mapplets, Mapping Templates, Task Flows, and Connections
- Column-level lineage: maps source-to-target column relationships through IICS transformations
- SQL mode: parses embedded SQL queries within IICS mappings for additional lineage depth
- Supports all IICS connection types: Database, Data Warehouse, Cloud Storage (S3, ADLS, GCS), SaaS (Salesforce, SAP), BI, ELT, API, Event Bus, Data Quality, and Custom
- Configurable extraction: include/exclude specific IICS projects and folders
- Batch processing with configurable batch sizes for large IICS estates
- OpenTelemetry-based observability with structured JSON logging
