AI app builder has transformed internal tools and now empowers business teams to build workflows
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for Lovable is to build our rapid internal tool development and workflow automation using AI assistant app building. I can give you a quick specific example of a tool or workflow we built with Lovable , which includes internal dashboards, approval workflows, data entry tools, and simple CRM style apps.
What is most valuable?
The best features Lovable offers include natural language processing which converts it as a full app generation and full-stack development in one place.
Lovable is designed to make app development feel simple for non-technical users; instead of coding, you just describe what you want, which makes non-technical users able to try out and test many things by themselves. There is minimal setup required, so you don't need to configure servers, databases manually, and backend, front end, and hosting are handled automatically, allowing you to start building immediately. The fast learning curve allows building apps in a few hours and making updates instantly while understanding how things work through visual feedback. Real-time editing lets you see what you want through your text, and Lovable is quite flexible, making it more powerful.
Lovable has positively impacted our organization by significantly reducing development time and increasing productivity across teams, allowing us to deliver tools faster and improve responsiveness to business needs.
What needs improvement?
Lovable can be improved by having more predictable credit usage, as it uses a credit-based system where each action or prompt consumes credit depending on the complexity, which is one thing to consider while scaling because pricing will make a big impact.
I suggest better credit transparency, improved handling of complex apps, and more flexible pricing plans as important needed improvements.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Lovable for the past eight to nine months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Lovable is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Lovable's scalability is good in terms of enterprise, but if you are using smaller plans, then there is a problem.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support is acceptable; I have nothing to complain about.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
We previously tried Replit and many AI tools, and the main reason we shifted to Lovable is that it is very responsive and provides fast responses, which makes it special.
How was the initial setup?
There is no setup cost, and licensing has no issues since it is based on the subscription we have, which works well.
What was our ROI?
I have seen a return on investment through reduced development costs, faster delivery times, and increased team productivity. Now we are building apps in days instead of weeks or months, improving operational efficiency. Business teams could build and update tools themselves, reducing dependency on IT and saving many hours of work and time.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
Before choosing Lovable, we evaluated other options including Google AI Studio.
What other advice do I have?
I would advise others looking into using Lovable to have a clear direction on what they are going to build to avoid wasting their credits; even though it is for non-technical users, you need to have a basic idea on the prompt because the prompt is crucial for achieving perfection in what you are building.
I think you could make this interview more interactive. My overall review rating for Lovable is nine out of ten.
