Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
The AMI is packaged with BuildPiper vindh_2.0.0_GA that can be accessed through the Public IP of instance launched.
- Login to instance - ssh -i $key-pair.pem ubuntu@$PublicIP
- Wait till all containers are up and running, will take 13-15 mins approximately.
- Execute the command: docker ps and check the created time of all containers it should be more than 12 minutes.
- Open BuildPiper dashboard at 'http://$PublicIP/'
- Default username : buildpiper@awsmarketplace.com
- For credentials, execute the command to get password: cat /etc/buildpiper/super-admin/default-pass/password | awk '{print $4}'
- Congratulations! Now you are able to access the dashboard.
- The random password can be updated at the time of first Login as per your own choice, while the username remains the same.
BuildPiper Configurations:
- After successful login move to section Adding EKS/K8s cluster.
- Add the Elastic Container Registry Configurations, where all the images will be pushed and pulled from.
Security group recommendations :
- All 3 TCP protocols 22, 80 and 9001 should be whitelisted by Client's VPN CIDR Range or private CIDR ranges. It shouldn't be accessible publicly.
