PwC’s cloud security capabilities assessment provides a structured, risk-based evaluation of an organization’s cloud security and compliance maturity. Tailored to the client’s business objectives and technology environment, the assessment delivers practical insights to strengthen governance, reduce risk, and support secure cloud adoption.

We begin by aligning on scope, stakeholders, and objectives, followed by a focused discovery process that includes documentation review and interviews across architecture, engineering, and security teams. Using the PwC cloud compliance and security framework, we assess current capabilities — across areas such as identity and access management (e.g., AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), AWS IAM Identity Center), logging and monitoring (e.g., Amazon CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail), threat detection (e.g., Amazon GuardDuty), and data protection (e.g., AWS Key Management Service, AWS Secrets Manager). We identify gaps across people, process, and technology and prioritize remediation actions based on risk and business impact.
