Overview
NiceOS Secure Image for NGINX is a free container image built on NiceOS.Container, an RPM/glibc-based Linux container runtime stream created for cloud-native workloads. It provides NGINX Open Source in a predictable Linux environment with transparent RPM-controlled provenance, immutable release tags, release metadata, SBOMs and vulnerability scan reports.
This image is designed for Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, Kubernetes and standard container runtimes. It is suitable for web serving, reverse proxy, static content delivery, HTTP caching and Kubernetes ingress-adjacent workloads where a familiar glibc-based Linux userland is preferred over ultra-minimal or non-standard runtime environments.
NiceOS Application Containers are built to support migration-friendly runtime contracts where compatibility is required. For users affected by changes in public container distribution channels, NiceOS provides a free, open and transparent container image line published across AWS Marketplace, AWS ECR Public, Docker Hub and GitHub Container Registry.
NiceOS images are not official Bitnami images and are not affiliated with Broadcom, VMware, Bitnami, F5 or NGINX. Bitnami-style references are used only as read-only compatibility and migration references. NGINX is a trademark of F5, Inc. Product names are used for referential purposes only and do not imply sponsorship, endorsement or affiliation.

Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.
