Overview Grocy is an open source, self-hosted groceries and household management solution, an ERP for your home. It tracks your food stock and best before dates, manages your shopping list, stores your recipes and meal plans, and schedules your recurring chores, your batteries and your equipment, all from one clean web interface and a full REST API. This image delivers Grocy fully installed and configured, so a complete household management service is running within minutes of launch. The current release available is Grocy 4.5.0.
Application Stack Grocy is a PHP web application. PHP 8.3 with OPcache and every extension Grocy requires. nginx web server serving the application front controller. SQLite storage, so the appliance is fully self-contained with no separate database server to manage. The SQLite database, configuration and file storage are kept on a dedicated, independently resizable data volume.
Secure First Boot On the first boot of your instance a one shot service generates a fresh Grocy administrator password, unique to that instance, and writes the credentials to a root only file. No shared or default credentials ship in the image, and no demo data is generated.
Ready To Use The Grocy code tree, document root, web server and database are all configured and the database schema is already initialised. Browse to the instance address and sign in as the administrator to start tracking stock, building shopping lists, storing recipes and scheduling chores.
cloudimg Support 24/7 technical support by email and chat. Help with Grocy deployment, upgrades, REST API integration, performance tuning, and storage administration.
Use Cases A private self-hosted food and household inventory. Best before and expiry tracking to reduce food waste. Shared household shopping lists and meal planning. Recipe storage and chore, battery and equipment scheduling. A self-hosted alternative to commercial home inventory apps.
