Overview
.NET 8 on Amazon Linux 2023 provides a fully configured, production-ready development environment for building and running C# and .NET applications on AWS.
This AMI is built on a minimal installation of Amazon Linux 2023, updated to the latest security patches, and includes .NET 8 SDK with all essential development tools pre-installed. .NET 8 is the latest Long-Term Support (LTS) release from Microsoft, offering improved performance, native AOT compilation, and enhanced cloud-native capabilities. It is free and open source under the MIT license with no licensing costs for commercial use.
