    Overview

    Akkodis Managed Application Services on AWS operates and maintains the business applications you depend on. We cover one or many applications, of any size, shape and deployment model — from small line-of-business systems to large mission-critical workloads — spanning both commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) packages and bespoke custom applications. Workloads can run fully in AWS or in hybrid configurations connected to on-premises systems.

    This product covers the application layer: the applications themselves, their operating systems, runtimes, databases, integrations and supporting services. It pairs with Akkodis Managed AWS Cloud Platform — which covers the underlying landing zone, account governance, security and platform operations — for an end-to-end managed environment. It can also run alongside an in-house or third-party cloud platform team.

    Two delivery flavours, one service

    • Traditional application managed services for COTS workloads on virtual machines or managed services — including operating system, runtime, load balancer, TLS, database, storage and backup operations. Indicative stacks supported include large ecosystem products (for example, ESRI ArcGIS), enterprise identity and access products, Oracle, Microsoft and other long-standing enterprise software.
    • DevOps-powered application managed services for bespoke applications, with automated build, test, approval and deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and minimised downtime for mission-critical workloads. Common runtimes include Java, .NET, Node.js, Python and container-based stacks.

    • L1 to L3 application support, incident management and problem management

    • Load balancing, TLS and certificate lifecycle management
    • Application integrations, APIs, messaging and event-driven components

    • All AWS data technologies supported, including relational (Amazon RDS, Amazon Aurora, databases on Amazon EC2), NoSQL (Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon DocumentDB, Amazon Keyspaces, Amazon Neptune), caching (Amazon ElastiCache, Amazon MemoryDB), and search (Amazon OpenSearch Service)
    • Analytics and data warehousing on Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, AWS Glue and Amazon EMR
    • Streaming and event data with Amazon Kinesis and Amazon MSK
    • Patching, version management, performance tuning and query optimisation
    • Backup, restore testing, data lifecycle management and encryption in flight and at rest

    • Business-level metrics where instrumentation allows, in addition to technical telemetry
    • Proactive triage to resolve issues before they become incidents
