AWS Well-Architected Review (WAR) | Applying Consulting

     Info
Applying Consulting evaluates your AWS architecture against the 6 pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Identify risks, security gaps, and cost inefficiencies before they become incidents — with a prioritized remediation plan and potential AWS credits activation.

    Overview

Applying Consulting is an AWS Advanced Partner authorized to deliver the AWS Well-Architected Review (WAR), a formal evaluation of your cloud architecture against AWS best practices across six pillars: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability.

How it works: Our certified architects conduct a structured workshop with your technical team, evaluating your current architecture against the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The output is a formal report with findings categorized by severity — High Risk Items (HRI), Medium Risk Items (MRI), and Low Risk Items (LRI) — along with a prioritized remediation plan.

Why this matters: Many organizations operate AWS environments that "work" but carry hidden risks: security misconfigurations, single points of failure, oversized resources, or architectural decisions that will not scale. The WAR identifies these risks in a planned review rather than discovering them during a 3 AM incident.

AWS credits opportunity: As an AWS Advanced Partner, Applying Consulting can activate AWS-funded Well-Architected reviews that may qualify clients for AWS credits to fund remediation work.

    Business impact:

    • Identify security and reliability risks before they cause incidents
    • Discover cost optimization opportunities from architectural inefficiencies
    • Avoid reactive remediation costs (always higher than proactive fixes)
    • Formal evaluation against 6 pillars with actionable findings

This service relates to AWS Well-Architected Tool, AWS Trusted Advisor, AWS Security Hub, and AWS Config.

    Highlights

    • Formal AWS Well-Architected Review across all 6 pillars: Operational Excellence, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability. Delivered by an AWS Advanced Partner with a prioritized HRI/MRI/LRI findings report.
    • Identify architecture risks, security gaps, and cost inefficiencies before they become incidents. A planned Well-Architected Review costs a fraction of reactive incident remediation — and may qualify your organization for AWS credits.
    • Includes a structured workshop with your technical team and a remediation roadmap mapped to Applying Consulting services: Managed Cloud, Application Modernization, or Cost Optimization — depending on the findings.
