AWS HealthImaging Documentation

AWS HealthImaging is a service that helps healthcare and life science organizations and their software partners to store and share medical imaging data.

Metadata

HealthImaging is designed to return DICOM metadata in a developer-friendly format. Individual attributes are accessible using human-readable keywords and patient and study attributes are normalized.

Metadata encoding

HealthImaging’s metadata encoding enables image viewers and AI algorithms to understand the contents of a DICOM study without having to load the image data.

Ingestion

HealthImaging import processes use cloud-native technologies capable of ingesting many DICOM studies in parallel.
